The Solar Green Roof is an innovative combination of a green roof system and vertical solar technology, developed in collaboration with Over Easy Solar. It transforms rooftops into multifunctional assets that contribute to energy generation, climate adaptation and biodiversity.

At the core of the system is a lightweight green roof, topped with vertical bifacial solar panels. Unlike traditional systems, the vertical setup captures sunlight from both sides, benefiting from reflection and the cooling effect of the vegetation. The green roof layer retains rainwater, reduces peak runoff and cools the surrounding environment. This cooling effect enhances the efficiency of the solar panels, creating a synergistic system where green and solar strengthen each other.

With a low system weight and no need for roof penetration, installation is fast, safe and suitable for a wide range of buildings, including renovation projects and structures with limited load-bearing capacity.
