Dr. Anna Christmann is a policy expert and entrepreneur advising tech start-ups and shaping the European innovation ecosystem with her innovation agency SAI Europe. She previously served as the German Federal Government’s Coordinator for Aerospace and as Commissioner for Start-ups and the Digital Economy at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, where she helped design and implement major innovation initiatives and participated in European regulation debates on technology such as the AI Act. From 2017 to 2025, she was a Member of the German Bundestag with a focus on innovation and technology policy, including work on artificial intelligence in a special committee of the German Bundestag and an UN High Level Advisory Body on AI. She holds a PhD in political science and has an interdisciplinary background in politics, economics, and mathematics.
