Wannes holds a PhD in mathematics and has a background as a professional volleyball athlete. This seemed to be the perfect preparation to lead larger data and machine learning teams in the Benelux. Wannes has been very active in sharing his experiences, amongst which the DPG Media data mesh story and has therefor recently been named a data mesh learning MVP. Currently Wannes is head of customer success for Conveyor at Data Minded, where he continues to defend his vision 'What is core to your company, you need to do yourself, yet for other components, you should look around you'.
