Marie Kilg is a journalist, product manager, and consultant specialising in artificial intelligence. She is a co-host of Germany's most successful AI podcast "Der KI-Podcast" by ARD. Since 2017, she has developed AI solutions and workflows for corporations, media organisations, and academic institutions – including contributing to the German-language personality and product launches for Amazon Alexa. She's a founding member of the Turing Agency, an initiative dedicated to fostering public discourse on AI's role in society. As Chief AI Officer at Deutsche Welle, Marie established the organisation's central AI team and led the development of its AI strategy. Her pioneering work includes launching the world's first AI-powered newspaper columnist in 2022 and authoring a theatrical production exploring artificial intelligence in 2024. In recognition of her reporting on AI, she was named Journalist of the Year 2023 in Germany. Outside of work, Marie enjoys reading, live music, and martial arts.
