Nico Baum has been with Berenberg since July 2018. As Head of Solutions and Head of AI, he is responsible for AI research and development as well as the bank-wide AI transformation. Previously, he helped build a fully regulated asset management fintech focused on artificial intelligence and big data analytics, where he served as COO and portfolio manager. He began his career in the investment banking division of a leading German bank, with assignments in Frankfurt, London and Hong Kong. In addition to his responsibilities at the bank, he conducts research in the field of information systems, with a focus on enterprise AI in the financial sector at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
