This session highlights Brazil’s progress in space operations through the Space Operations Centre (COPE), a critical Tier IV-certified data centre. Developed by Brazil’s Air Force and Telebras, the Brazilian telecommunications agency, COPE manages a dual-use satellite called SGDC, ensuring secure government telecommunications, broadband for remote areas, and cost-efficient operations, as well as Lessonia satellites for SAR remote sensing to monitor environmental and security threats, all hosted within secure military facilities.
